When Moms Play Matchmaker

From our first introduction, I was just smitten with this couple. K+I are not only gorgeous but have such a fun story. These two were introduced by their moms (yes, really!), and it didn’t take long before their connection turned into something deep, joyful, and full of laughter.

We met for their engagement session in the dreamy fields of Luscher Farms in Lake Oswego on a rare, sunny/warm evening in APRIL! (You know how rare that is in Oregon!) This spot felt like the perfect reflection of them: peaceful, playful and just a little wild. They were such good sports, trudging through the tall grass, batting past the gnats and trusting my vision.

As we wandered through the grasses and watched the sky turn soft pink and blue, I got to witness the way they look at each other, the way they laugh together and the kind of comfort that only comes from being truly at home with someone.

Honestly, photographing them felt more like hanging out with friends than work. Capturing their energy was so effortless because it’s real!

Sessions like this make me feel so lucky that this is my job!
